Revenedors PUBLICATIONS
The history that we don't write for ourselves, they will write for us
In line with the commitment to historical research and heritage recovery, Publicacions Revenedors was founded with the mission of publishing the winning works of the Antic Gremi Revenedors de Barcelona Research Grant and other research of interest related to guilds and the history of Barcelona and Catalonia. Despite their fundamental role in history, guilds have not been sufficiently studied. To promote knowledge and dissemination of guild history and the country’s history in general, we feature two collections.
All our titles have been carefully and, above all, rigorously edited. They have been designed and laid out by Barchinona, the books are of exceptional quality, printed on coated paper. We invite you to explore all the titles and support historical research.

CALAIX COLLECTION
In times (again) of great difficulties as a country and society, where work capacity, collective dynamism, and ambition will surely be key to moving forward, we believe it is essential to bring to light reflections and studies that have not yet been published on the world of ancient guilds from both Barcelona and our country’s past.
With the Calaix publications, we aim to give voice to prominent historians and experts in the world of work. We launched the collection with the volume Honor, Commerce, and Work: Catalonia, Spain, and Europe (16th-19th centuries) by Dr. Pere Molas i Ribalta, and recently presented Entrem al Taller. The Stained Glass Painters and Lantern Makers of Barcelona (18th century) written by Dra. Sílvia Cañellas and Jordi Bonet.
With great prestige and historical rigor, this collection has become a reference in the field of research and dissemination of Catalonia’s guild history
SPECIAL EDITIONS
In this section, you will find all the volumes we have published outside of the collections:
- To celebrate the 576th anniversary of the institution, we published 2048×100=Barcelona. One Hundred Voices for the Future of a City (2023), a collective book where one hundred Barcelona residents reflect on what the city will be like in twenty-five years. In addition to the texts, the volume includes two graphic stories by Xavier Domínguez and Takayuki Maejima.
- Els tenders revenedors de la ciutat de Barcelona is the first title published by this house, in 1991, before the creation of Publicacions Revenedors. In this volume, historian Margarita Tintó i Sala studies the guild from its founding to the 1828 instructa, covering the organization, disputes, agreements, the Pi church chapel, and the guildhouse. This volume is a record of an entire organized urban life, which could serve as a model for other guilds or labor organizations that have contributed to the life of Barcelona.
